The song builds on Shakespeare’s concept of the primrose path which addresses how things often look better than they are, going down a path that looks enticing but actually leads you to hell. Primrose's strong sense of
thematic atmosphere places you in an ethereal and mystical state while becoming increasingly unhinged and deranged, descending into a thrash of
strangled guitars and pummelled drums. Seeing through the veil of beauty of the path and relishing in the reality of it. Not conforming to societal expectations, seeing through the performative and absurd, seeing the world for what it really is and relishing it, because there is no way you can be sane in such a messy world.
